Ripon Canal is one of the most northerley canals in England, and runs for just 2.5 miles from the centre of Ripon, to it's junction with
the River Ure at Oxclose Lock.
Ripon Canal was abandoned in 1956, and later reopend as far as the town centre.
A beautiful and very peaceful canal walk has been created, and more information can be obtained from the Ripon Racecourse Marina.
